Welcome to Open Masters Swedish Championships in Kristianstad 15-17th of May 2026
Badriket is our new arena with 10 lanes (25m) and adjacent warm-up pool.
Thursday 14th of May is a National Holiday in Sweden, and that is why this event starts during friday 15th.
We will build up an event-area with food-court, music in the evenings ("get-together Thu-Sat") and create a great athmosphere close to the pool area. We call the event KSLS Swim for life, since we want to inspire and create a lot of fun for Masters swimmers, visitors and the local residents including children.
Kristianstad is located in the south of Sweden, only 1,5 hour by direct train from Copenhagen Airport.
The hotels that we recommend are located (links under "logi" and in Invitation above) very close to the central station (Kristianstad C)
The great banquet on Saturday evening will happen at Södra Kasern, only ten minutes walk from the hotels - don´t miss out on the banquet, it will be great!

Travel by train to Kristianstad
Kristianstad Central Station is very close to all three hotels listed among the hotel offers here on the website, also close to the city center shopping.
➢ Travel by express train, with a change in Hässleholm, then Öresund train/Pågatåg (Skånetrafiken) to Kristianstad.
Travel within Kristianstad
City bus (green bus) no. 4 between the stops "Kristianstad C" and "Kristianstad Badriket" takes about 5 minutes. There are more bus alternatives that run to other busstops close to Badriket, but a small walk is then needed, see Skånetrafiken, ch.
➢ Taxi
➢Walking from Kristianstad C to the event area takes about 20-30 minutes. You can walk over the train tracks via a walkingbridge that goes towards "Näsby".
➢ Bicycle from Kristianstad C to the event area approx. 9 minutes
Travel by Taxi
➢City Taxi, special agreement, 30% lower price, quote "Swim for Life" 044-28 02 80. The offer also applies to trips to Kastrup.
Travel by plane
➢Copenhagen/Kastrup - Travel smoothly by plane to Copenhagen (CPH Airport Kastrup). Öresundståg departs every full hour and takes only 1h 33 minutes with the direct train to Kristianstad C.
➢Malmö/Sturup - airport bus Malmö/Lund, train (Skånetrafiken) to Kristianstad C.
How to get to the banquet on Saturday evening?
It is only a 10-minute walk between the party venue at Södra Kasern and the hotels listed in the Invitation.
